title: Ah, summer
Now that we are almost done with the summer months, the sunshine and warm weather has finally decided to grace us with its presence. It been a long and almost warm wait for the 30 degree weather, and now that it is here I'm ready for fall and the first snowfall. School is just around the corner, well for everyone but me. I started working full time as a casual at a geological survey, one would assume that it would involve rocks or mountains or coal or something exciting like that right. Wrong, I have lifted buckets of rocks, organized and filed coal logs(not nearly as exciting as it sounds), cross referenced mineral assessment, and sat through meetings, but in the end its not as bad as it could be.
Dance audtions are coming up and I and I'm not too excited about that. With the whole asthma thing, and the physical exertion just doesn't make me feel good, so I think I am going to try for a smaller company with not as many expectations. All I really want to do is to keep on dancing, even though I considered quiting after I didn't make the group I originally wanted to get in to( after auditioning twice too!!).
As for the living situation, I am still at home living off the parents. But the rent is a lot cheeper at home(try $3oo a month instead of $450) and the cost of food is lower, its the lack of independence that is really bothering me. I supose that once I get my license I can get myself around and the travelling will certainly be easier, now that gas is so expensive the drving will cost and suck.
Just got a lump removed from my stomach and received three stitches in return, and hopefully it wasn't cancerous cause that is super scary. And I am planning a road trip for next summer and leaving on a short vacation to Jasper in a week! This might be the last family vacation that we are all on together... which is sad. And the weather man said this morning that there is a chance of flurries tonight and tomorrow for jasper, so I guess I'm packing the parka(who actually uses that word). I am super excited to get some hiking and site seeing in before it gets too cold to go out.
Winter is coming which means a whole new ballet season! The Nutcracker is playing on my 18th! birthday (super sweet!!) so mom is taking me!! Whoo hoo!!
